Philips MMS Module M3015B CO2 Module

The Philips M3015B is a high-precision plug-and-play respiratory monitoring extension module developed by Philips, specially designed for Philips IntelliVue series patient monitors. It is a mainstream clinical monitoring module for end-tidal carbon dioxide, widely used in anesthesia and critical care scenarios.

Core Functions & Technical Advantages

Core Monitoring Parameters

Its core function is to provide continuous, stable end-tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO₂) monitoring. It can also output multi-dimensional auxiliary respiratory parameters including respiratory rate, inspired carbon dioxide (FiCO₂), which can accurately reflect the patient’s ventilation status in real time, and help clinicians quickly identify risks such as abnormal ventilation and apnea.

Micro-flow Sampling Technology

It adopts Philips’ mature micro-flow side-stream sampling design, with a low sampling rate of about 50ml/min. Unlike traditional high-flow sampling, it will not add extra breathing load to patients, which is especially friendly to children, patients with low tidal volume and patients with spontaneous breathing. It also has fast response speed, which can capture abnormalities such as esophageal intubation and hypoventilation in seconds, much faster than pulse oximetry early warning.

Compatibility & Application Scenarios

Compatibility

It supports hot swapping, and is compatible with most mainstream Philips IntelliVue monitoring hosts (including common models such as MP20/MP30/MP40/MP50, MX400/MX500/MX600). Hospitals can directly expand this module on the original monitoring host, without replacing the whole device, which greatly saves the cost of equipment upgrade.

Application Scenarios

It is widely used in operating room general anesthesia monitoring, ICU/CCU intensive care, emergency resuscitation, painless endoscopic diagnosis and treatment and other scenarios. EtCO₂ monitoring is currently recognized as the gold standard for confirming the position of tracheal intubation and early warning of respiratory accidents, and this module fully meets the clinical requirements of conventional and critical monitoring.

At present, the modules circulating in the market include original brand-new modules and original refurbished modules that have passed strict function testing, both can provide stable and long-term use performance matching clinical needs.
